About the Bibliophile

When you’re raised by writers, you’re susceptible  to bibliomania. Growing up, my family was continually waging war against the growing piles of books spilling off the shelves, nightstands and tables in nearly every room. Without much success. A deep love of the written word was inevitable.

I’m a 20-something nonprofit professional when I’m out in the real world. When I’m not ensconced with a book or my laptop, you can find me wandering about D.C. with friends, watching movies, doing yoga, drinking tea, and cooking with my husband. Or, more accurately, eating my husband’s cooking. He does not share my book-lust, but he is very patient. And, thankfully, not too territorial about the book shelves.

Favorite writers include Madeleine L’Engle, Barbara Kingsolver, Ray Bradbury, Geraldine Brooks, Neil Gaiman, Joyce Carol Oates, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, James Herriot, James Thurber, Michael Dirda, Angela Carter, Arthur Conan Doyle, Alan Bennett, and many, many, many more.

Thanks for stopping by!
